Clyde High School CmPS · 2026–27
About us
We're students on the Clyde High School Community Problem Solving (CmPS) team in Clyde, Texas.
Why we chose health
When we began discussing what to work on this school year, we realized many of us had health issues in our families: high blood pressure, cancer, a family member on the transplant list, heart attacks. These were very different events, but they were all health related, and we wondered if we could encourage our community to think about their health.
Our underlying problem
In 2026–2027, when we noticed the lack of education surrounding various health issues within our community, what can we, the Clyde High School Community Problem Solving Team, do to promote health awareness to improve our community's education of common health challenges, ultimately resulting in the improvement of the overall quality of life of our citizens?
Who we are

Community Problem Solving (CmPS) is a program where students find a real problem in their own community and work to fix it. Our 2026–27 team is made up of Clyde High students who care about this town and the people in it.
We started by asking the community. At our health fair booth in September 2026, we surveyed 50 neighbors. Most said our community isn't educated on health concerns, and almost everyone said more education would help.See what they told us.
What we're doing
- Running booths at local events with free health flyers and info.
- Building this website so anyone can learn the basics on a phone in a few minutes.
- Connecting people with local help, like blood donation, organ donor sign-up, and CPR classes.
- Planning a community health fair for Clyde. See our events.
We're students, not doctors. Everything on this site is for learning only. Please talk to your doctor about your own health.
